Chief Strategist/Climate Champion | Development Finance Corporation
Mr. Franklyn Magloire is an experienced credit analyst who began his career with the Development Finance Corporation in 1989 as a Credit Officer. He rose through the ranks of the credit department to the Senior Management position of Assistant General Manager, Lending Operations, a position which he held up to September 2018, before transitioning to the post of Chief Strategist/ Climate Champion. In that former capacity, Mr. Magloire was responsible for the corporation’s credit function.
As the Chief Strategist and Climate Champion, Mr. Magloire is charged with mainstreaming climate resilience in the corporation’s operations. His portfolio also includes policy review and formulation, product development, and liaising with strategic development partners on issues relevant to Belize’s economic development. He is a member of the Corporation’s Executive Management Committee and serves on several sub committees. Mr Magloire has extensive experience in the analysis, implementation and administration of development projects. He has undertaken several consultancies involving policy development, and training in areas of credit analysis, financial analysis, and loan administration.
Mr Magloire holds Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Agriculture and a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Agriculture and Rural Development – both from University of the West Indies. He also holds Certificates in a range of subject areas including Project Appraisal, Project Monitoring and Implementation, and Credit Risk Management.
