Programme Leader | Technical Assistance Programme for Sustainable Energy in the Caribbean (TAPSEC); Climate Resilient and Sustainable Energy Supply in the Caribbean (Cli-Res) GIZ
Mr Simon Zellner started his professional career in 1995 as an energy auditor. After 10 years of practical working, he graduated in European Energy Business. From 2008 to 2010, Simon worked as a consultant for utilities in Germany at Thüga AG focussing on investment grade calculation for biomass power plants and energy pricing for gas and heat. Since 2010, Simon has been working as an advisor for energy efficiency and ESCo market development with GIZ. In May 2016, he started his work in the Caribbean under the GIZ REETA project and led the financial service component, based at the Caribbean Development Bank in Barbados. Since August 2018, Simon took over responsibilities as Programme Leader for the project “Climate Resilient and Sustainable Energy Supply in the Caribbean (Cli-RES)” which includes an additional financial allocation for the “Technical Assistance Programme for Sustainable Energy in the Caribbean (TAPSEC)” from the European Union.
