Stephen Wedderburn, J.P. is the Executive Director of the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ). He is a senior public policy professional who has served the Government of Jamaica in several roles requiring a combination of technical and commercial expertise. Mr. Wedderburn has previously served the Jamaican Government in roles have spanned renewable energy projects, oil trading, petroleum refinery management, project finance, establishment of independent power providers, petroleum market deregulation, utility privatization and airport and toll road concessions. His former positions include Chief Technical Director in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, Acting Deputy CEO and Group Technical Director at the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, Director of Privatization and Infrastructure Projects at the National Investment Bank of Jamaica, and Interim CEO of the Petrojam petroleum refinery. Mr. Wedderburn holds degrees in Public Policy & Management from Duke University and in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
